IDFY Youth Summit
KACF is proud to be supporting Idaho Drug Free Youth (IDFY) in their annual substance abuse prevention education program, Idaho Youth Summit.
The Youth Summit is a very intensive 4-day workshop where youth in grades 7 through 12 establish healthy beliefs and clear standards around alcohol and other substances. The youth participate in many activities and are given tools and prevention strategies — which they practice at the Summit — so they may implement these upon returning to their schools and communities.
IDFY’s Youth Summit is Idaho’s largest statewide youth prevention conference. For more information, visit: www.idahodrugfreeyouth.org.
KACF supports the Youth Summit program with funds from our Drug-Free Communities grant given through the Department of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. As a sponsored program of KACF and our Communities That Care® best-practice process, pre– and post-program surveys are given to all Youth Summit participants following the CTC guidelines.
