KCSAC DUI Victim’s Panels

Support from KACF to the Kootenai County Substance Abuse Council (KCSAC) began this year thanks again to our Drug-Free Communities grant.  This support helped expand their existing DUI Victim’s Panels to include victim’s panels to area youth in addition to the adult panels.

The DUI panels are held monthly (or as needed) for both adults and youth up to the age of 18 who have been arrested for a DUI or MIP.  Referrals will come from probation programs and the courts.  Participants will hear testimonies from victims of drunk drivers and will participate in question and answer sessions regarding their own behavior.

As a sponsored program of KACF and our Communities That Care® best-practice process, pre– and post-program surveys are given to all DUI panel participants following the CTC guidelines to measure attitude and behavior change.  Survey results and evaluations will be posted on this website as they come available.

If your organization would like to participate with this program, or would like to hear the speakers, please contact Anita Kronvall by calling 773-2118.
